About the position: This position will be assigned to the Air Force Service Center.
This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.
Duties
Leads workflow and perform Accounts Payable processing and basic accounting functions using Oracle R-12 Accounts Payable system, double entry accrual accounting methods, creates and manages supplier databases, profiles, and accounts. With minimum direction from the Supervisor or Lead establishes and maintains vendor records, determines payment due, verifies all payment documents, processes checks, EFTs, banking information, 1099 information and completes all related reports. Performs analysis, reconciles, balances, and close accounts payable accounts. Prepares reports monthly, quarterly, and annually reflecting status of activities serviced by the accounts payable branch. Examines, verifies and analyzes a variety of documents to determine their mathematical correctness, validity and accuracy. Traces discrepancies, if necessary, to posting documents, computes operational expense incurred by individual activities for accounts payable accounting services provided, and assigns charges appropriately. Responsible for reconciliation and signing of end of month certifications for Installations. Performs other duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
Progressively responsible experience in the full range of accounts payable processing for a wide variety of payment actions requiring a wide range of federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and instructions with little technical supervision. Experience with accounts payable functions. Experience with accounts payable processes and procedures and an understanding of the relationship between general ledger and accounts payable accounts. Experience working with MS Office application software to produce a wide range of office documents.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of training methods and preparation of training/briefing materials.
Proficient in typing and data entry keypad skills.
Ability to solve problems with little to no supervision.
Ability to process basic accounts payable functions, calculations and reconciliation in the Oracle 11i environment.
Ability to function/learn in a teleworking environment utilizing VPN, Zoom, Skype or Teams.
