Duties
Plans the use or subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections for
week-to-week or month-to-month periods.
Establishes deadlines, priorities and work sequences in accordance with general work schedules, methods, and policies established by higher level supervisors.
Participates with the supervisor in the initial planning of current and future work schedules and the development of budget requests, providing workload data.
Participates with the supervisor in estimates. Information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work.
Furnishes opinions and recommendations to the supervisor concerning changes to organizational structures,
position management issues involving the supervised work operations. and relationships with other organizations.
Controls assure that obligations and costs are in compliance with applicable laws, and that funds, property, and other assets are safeguarded against waste, loss, and unauthorized use or misappropriation.
May operate material handling equipment such as fork lifts (4,000 to 15,000 pounds), cranes, general-purpose
vehicles, etc., to assist in performance of preservation duties.

To qualify for a Preservation Servicer Supervisor your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standard for Trades and Labor Occupations. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties at the level for which you are applying. Emphasis is placed on how you gained the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time, and the required ability or potential to perform the job. Applicants who do not meet the screen-out element (SOE) will be eliminated from further competition. The SOE and minimum qualifications for this position is:
I assist with planning and organizing work activities for employees. Examples Include: Advise supervisor of problems involving disciplinary actions and counseling on conduct. Set goals and deadlines for accomplishing work; give instructions to employees on work procedures and safety.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Physical Effort: Works and stands on concrete or asphalt surfaces for long periods of time and performs work in tiring and uncomfortable positions which require the incumbent to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift items that may weigh up to 60 pounds. Heavier items may require the use of materials handling equipment or the assistance of another employee.
Working Conditions: Work is typically performed inside in areas that may be hot, cold, damp, or drafty; but may also be performed outside subjecting the incumbent to inclement weather, wind, or mud. Also subject to dangerous or irritating fumes or vapors, acids or caustic substances; dust, dirt, oil, grease, and similar materials which may soil hands or clothing; possibility of cuts, scrapes, and bruises; and moderate noise. May be required to wear protective equipment such as gloves, respirators, or aprons.
Safety and Health Requirements: Employee is required to wear safety clothing and equipment appropriate for the job and work area where assigned, as directed by the supervisor. Types of protective clothing and equipment include, but are not limited to the following: eye, respiratory, foot protection, and protective clothing (gloves, apron, coveralls, etc.). Other types may be required as deemed necessary by authorized management officials. Employee will be required to wear approved hearing protective devices and an audiometric test will be conducted, as necessary, when working near or around noise hazardous areas, machinery, or equipment
