Duties
Is thorough and conscientious about attending to detail when determining eligibility or consideration and questions pertaining to actions in evaluations, selections, and promotions area from a wide variety of input.
Identities a need: gathers, organizes, and maintains information; utilizing Army-wide Systems.
Understands and interprets written material, including rules, regulations, instructions, reports, or table; applies what is learned from written material to specific situations.
Holds self accountable for measurable high-quality and timely results. Determines objectives, and sets priorities. Complies with established regulatory and policy rules and established control systems.
Requirements
- This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Applicant will be required to complete a one year probationary period required.
- Applicant must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and or education requirements described below. Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is defined as one year of experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involves Initiating, reviewing or assisting in the completion of personnel actions in a wide variety of functional areas such as: Promotion, board support, benefit programs, awards and decorations, ID cards, commissary cards, retirement points accounting, SGLI, occupational specialties, incentive programs, reclassifications, transfers, accessions, resignations, assignments, reassignments, separations, extensions of service, transfers between service components, official credentials, correction of errors to files, discharges and/or other corrections to the official military record. Using a number of computer software packages in the performance of assigned duties which may include, but are not limited to: Word processing, database management, and electronic mail.
