Duties
This position is located under the Office of the Director, Office of Strategic Management in Washington, District of Columbia.
Serves on the immediate staff of the Office of the Director, Office of Strategic Management and functions as a Program Analyst responsible for providing advice and assistance to the division chief on a variety of analytical matters.
Qualifications
To qualify for 13, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Examples of specialized experience include:
Gathering data to conduct in-depth complex and integrated analyses and studies involving major program areas; AND
Developing recommendations for division programs based on analysis of operating plans of the division or management needs; AND
Summarizes division reports into single cohesive documents and highlights significant facts; AND
Prepares and presents briefings on program matters and results of studies and analysis to senior level officials; AND
Develops written reports and position papers for submission to the Department of Justice or other agencies; AND
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of division issues, concerns, initiatives and programs.
