About the Position: The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14 to 15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
As Deputy to the Executive Director of the CECOM Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC), incumbent assumes responsibility in the management and control of logistics and readiness programs, priorities and resources.
Supports the recruitment, development and retention of a high quality workforce. Selects candidates for chief positions of subordinate organizational elements.
Assures that career development, training and technical competence are maintained, promising new talent is obtained, and selection and promotion decisions are effectively made.
Establishes performance standards and objectives.
Reviews, approves, or disapproves justification for personnel requirements and the allocation of manpower spaces among organizational elements/projects.
Finds ways to improve production or increase the quality of work and internal controls.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Specialized experience: 1. Developing short and long-range plans and specific projects necessary to maintain the readiness and operational capability of major weapon systems, subsystems, and components; 2. Developing, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with policies, regulations and organizational goals3. Formulating and implementing integrated product support strategies that maximize materiel readiness and reduces life cycle costs; AND 4. Managing the recruitment, career development, training and retention of a high-quality workforce.

Education
As Deputy, provides leadership and direction in the formulation of C5ISR logistics and readiness plans and programs. Integrates, coordinates and develops program plans which provide realistic and meaningful objectives for the Army's total communications-electronics equipment systems planning and programming requirements and for the development of technical systems plans which coincide with and support Army's requirements, program plans and objectives. Demonstrates consistent emphasis on EEO and avoidance of discrimination in employee selection, promotion, training and other personnel management practices. In conjunction with the Executive Director, serves as a principal advisor to the Deputy to the Commanding General Commander, in the establishment of command policies, plans, programs, and objectives for production, logistics, and readiness programs. In concert with AMC, DA and DOD, and other military and civilian government echelons, jointly determines policies and trends governing potential and long-range CECOM LCMC production, logistics, and readiness activities Promotes and oversees application of concurrent engineering principles within CECOM LCMC programs to insure development of manufacturing and logistics support process designs concurrently with hardware designs.
