This position is located in the Department of Labor's (DOL), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM), the Office of the Senior Procurement Executive (OSPE). The Incumbent serves as a Management Analyst to OSPE Leadership as directed by their supervisor and performs a variety of administrative and staff responsibilities in support of the OSPE.
This position is inside the bargaining unit.
Duties
Major duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for procurement actions, fiscal actions, personnel actions, travel actions, other related administrative responsibilities and participant in the development and implementation of strategies, plans, standards and procedures to achieve the OSPE objectives.
Provides technical advice and assistance to the senior management and other members of the OSPE team concerning the office organizational structure, position management, and optimum position/FTE utilization.
Provides initial internal review, analysis, guidance and coordination with the Office of Human Resources (OHR) on behalf of the OSPE management team concerning the full range of HR personnel actions.
Reviews, analyzes and monitors all aspects of the OSPE budget. Based on analysis, makes recommendations to the Administrative Officer on the best utilization of budgetary resources.
Maintains correspondence controls for the OSPE. Assist the Staff Assistants with monitoring the use of organizational supplies, orders and distributes the supplies throughout OSPE.
Coordinates meetings, programs and events on behalf of the OSPE Leadership and the AO and prepares meeting notes, briefings and presentations as required.
Assists with providing administrative guidance and instruction in internal office management on a variety of projects, studies, and action correspondence.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
You must meet the Basic Requirements listed in the "Education Requirements" section and the "Specialized Experience" to qualify for Management Analyst, as described below.
For GS-12: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-11 in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Qualifying specialized experience for GS-12 includes: Experience that demonstrates analyzing issues, goals and initiatives; developing briefs; preparing progress reports; and managing programs or contracts such as contractor performance.
