This position is located in the (Sample - USDA-Office of the Chief Financial Officer, National Finance Center, Office of the Deputy Director, Administrative Management Staff, in New Orleans, LA)
The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of clerical and typing duties related to administrative services provided through the Facilities and Administrative Support Team (FAST) Service Center in support of the National Finance Center's business operations.
Duties
Monitors conference room activity to ensure appropriate support.
Monitors the activities of the numerous blanket purchase agreements (BPAs).
Reviews time and attendance sheets for accuracy and completeness.
Assists in the creating time and attendance profiles.
Serves as the main point of contact for handling request for services (thefts, locks/keys, contractor/visitor badges/property removal/etc.).

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
Time in Grade: Merit promotion applicants holding or having held a GS position in the past 52 weeks must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements. One year at the GS-04 is required to be eligible for the GS-05.
Time-in-Grade requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Applicants MUST submit an SF-50 that illustrates time-in-grade and reflects title, series, and grade. No Award SF-50 will be accepted.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes: (1) Experience monitoring building operations, schedules conference and meeting rooms, coordinates logistics for facility management activities, manages service requests by recording, completing or escalating reported incidents, and other special projects. (2) Performing administrative and programmatic technical support to personnel. (3) Maintaining computerized files and records such as suspense files, report files, and logs showing the status of project actions and correspondence (4) Ensuring all support documents are on file or up-to-date and retrieves those which are missing from personnel.

Education
Education Can Be Substituted For Experience
GS-05: Four years of successfully completed education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.
Combination Of Education And Experience
GS-05: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. Transcripts are required at the time of application.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
