About the Position: The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) develops and delivers responsive aviation, missile and calibration materiel readiness to the U.S. Army. We believe in "Mission First, People Always" to enable the synchronized aviation, missile and calibration materiel enterprises. The position is located within US Army Aviation and Missile Command AMCOM Logistics Center, Missiles Directorate however, multiple vacancies maybe filled using this announcement.
Duties
Provide logistics support to a rapidly deployable weapons system, major end item, product or capability in a deployed field environment, developmental/demonstrated test environment, training center, range and warfighter readiness exercise.
Apply comprehensive knowledge of analytical methods and techniques to independently resolve logistical problems and issues to unique and complex logistics matters.
Plan, direct, coordinate and manage complex logistical support requirements for weapon systems/projects/programs during all phases of the life cycle.
Manage the efforts of contractor and government personnel to ensure requirements of the Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP) are performed.
Communicate with Joint Command Level leadership officials on various issues relating to fielding of new or additional capability/materiel, downsizing/drawdown decisions, and movement of materiel in/out of and within the theater of operations.
Requirements
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Incumbent is required to travel away from the duty station (TDY) on multiple overnight trips up to 25% of the time.
- Incumbent must possess, obtain and maintain Level III Acquisition Certification in Life Cycle Logistics within y years of entrance on duty.
- Incumbent must be able to pass an appropriate initial physical examination, an annual, deployment physical, and agility test in accordance with AMC Regulation 700-19.
- Incumbent is required to travel away from the duty station on 179-day deployments into various contingency Theaters of Operation.

Specialized Experience Statement: One year of specialized experience which includesexecuting the Integrated Logistical Support (ILS) program areas by planning, directing, coordinating, and managing the assigned areas of the logistics program, which encompass the operations and activities related to logistical support provided to a Major Army Command (MACOM), Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC), Program Executive Office (PEO), Project Management Office (PMO), Product Directorate (PD), Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) or Logistics Directorate (LD) while coordinating and exercising direction over the integration of the supply, maintenance, new equipment training, fielding, sustainment and other related logistical functions for new and emerging technologies during all phases of the acquisition life cycle.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
