You will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant in the Supply Department (TRF-500) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will maintain files of divisional Position Descriptions (PDs). You will provide advice to personnel regarding personnel procedures, regulations, and documentation on programs. You will fill out and process various administrative and personnel forms. You will prepare and submit vehicle mileage and fuel reports. You will conduct various administrative projects for the division under the direction of the Support Services Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • You must be able to maintain an IT-II designation.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) on occasion.
  • Shift work and overtime will be made to meet operational needs.
  • Travel may be required for such poses as training, attendance at meetings, or participation in work efforts at other shore activities.
  • You must be a qualified typist.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience initiating and submitting Requests for Personnel Action (RPA) for various personnel actions such as recruitments, promotions, details, reassignments, etc. Experience preparing and ensuring accuracy of a wide variety of administrative and management reports, charts and various correspondence such as Key Indicator Brief (KIB) Manning data and Command Recall listings. Experience tracking and processing the backfill of vacancies. Experience submitting requests to update PDs if ink and pen changes are needed. Experience with timekeeping duties. Experience creating and maintaining personnel and organizational files.
