About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Research and Development Center (ERDC), INFRASTRUCTURE SCIENCE & ENG DIVISION ENERGY BRANCH.

Duties

Lead the Energy (Planning and Analysis) Branch in applying science and technology to solve problems Support employee?s career development goals. Demonstrate new and emerging technologies to assist military installations in meeting their energy and water planning goals and requirements Responsible for technical oversight and guidance of the research activities of the Energy Branch related to the Energy Analysis and Planning and Water Use Security competencies Nurture a culture of research excellence and professional growth within the Energy Analysis and Planning and Water Use Security competencies. Perform quality assurance on proposals and deliverables. Support new technologies to advance the modernization of military installations. Facilitate work acceptance and laboratory approvals of work. Contribute to laboratory and organization level strategic planning

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a two year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
