Duties

Coordinates efforts of simulation database creation, OPFOR efforts, scenario writers, MSEL development and management, and Academics instructors. The Lead Scenario Specialist will approve documents for the lead exercise planners and contracted scenario writers to execute during the exercises. Provides doctrinal grounding, ensuring the scenario products in support of exercises and events are nested with current operational concepts within U.S. Army, Joint, and multinational alliance frameworks. Develops doctrinally correct Joint Task Force level plans and Mission Orders that integrate Rotational Unit training objectives, Senior Trainer guidance, Army Doctrinal Publications, regional trends, and emerging joint doctrine. Serves as senior SME for Army, Joint, Partner and Allied warfighting concepts within Joint Multinational Pacific Readiness Center (JPMRC) scenario design.   • During rotational exercises, the employee is required to work a flexible duty hours which includes - weekends, holidays, and shift work consistent of 10-12 hours days for an extended 2-week period. and in improved field conditions.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes implementing strategic communication themes and including multinational partners in exercise scenario development and writing processes; providing quality assurance for the Director and ensuring exercise scenario products are delivered to an acceptable standard, meeting training and exercise objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational Performance AnalysisPlanning and EvaluatingWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
