Purpose: To serve as the Division Chief of Information Protection and principal advisor to a Senior Materiel Leader for the establishment and suitability of protection countermeasures within an acquisition system portfolio for information and weapons systems in development, production, testing, modification, and fielding across domains.
Duties
DUTY 1: Plans, organizes and directs collateral, sensitive compartmental information and special access program security activities for organization's assigned system programs. Examines security initiatives, protection measures and processes for application across platform, system, and organizational lines.
DUTY 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
DUTY 3: Develops and prioritizes organizational security and information protection performance goals and mission objectives; develops operating procedures and plans, acquisition security concept and implementation plans; sets overall priorities and objectives for security personnel; assesses progress toward objectives; identifies problems and takes appropriate corrective action; evaluates new concepts and ideas of technical and management importance.
DUTY 4: Administers through subordinates, the Program Protection Planning. Identifies and validates mission security needs through evaluation or development of security elements of applicable program. Identifies program funding for program protection planning and system security activities and system components.
DUTY 5: Represents organization with DoD, USAF, HQ AFMC and various AFLCMC organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with these organizations.

Qualifications
To serve as the Chief of SAP(Acquisition) Security, AFLCMC/EB (Weapons) Directorate. Technical Security Advisor to the PEO providing SAP security expertise in SAP and SCI security activities. Directs and supervises organizational GSSOs who perform management and planning activities involving SAP and SCI security.

Leads and manages all AFLCMC/EB SAP (primary role) and SCI related activities
Support, collaborate, and coordinate with internal offices within AFLCMC and external agencies (other Centers, MAJCOM, HQ AF, DoD, Defense Contractors, program offices, PSOs, SSOs, Chief of Collateral Security) to ensure protection priorities are adequately represented
Integrates SAP and SCI security disciplines to protect weapon systems, sensitive technology, and related information vital to warfighter success to include US, Foreign Partner, and Foreign Military Sales programs
As the Chief of SAP Security Supervisor, provides functional management and support to GSSOs assigned to the AFLCMCEB directorate at Eglin, Robins, and Hill.

RECRUITMENT KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Mastery of Acquisition security, traditional Information Protection disciplines, Special Access Program Security, Antitamper, certification and accreditation of embedded systems principles and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
2. Ability to plan, organize and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
3. Knowledge of engineering, contracting, logistics and other functional concepts, programs, procedures, and practices.
4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
5. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
