As a Realty Specialist, you will perform a variety of real estate work related to the acquisition of real property.Location of position: PBS, Leasing Division in Fort Worth, TX.This office is responsible for directing and coordinating the overall regional management of the leasing program.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Review procedures for processing space requests, including funding practices. Review and make limited analyses of specific aspects of Federal building projects.
Assists higher graded specialist in determining proper amount of space authorized for use of requesting office, consults with agencies on requirements, amount and type of space, and verifies routine program and operating requirements of agencies. Assists in developing specifications for any required space preparation/changes and in verifying funding requirements.
Performs routine lease administration functions in direct support of regional lease acquisition, administration and enforcement programs.
Prepares appeal files and assists in research and/or information gathering to resolve disputes with lessors.
Requirements

- Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
- Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that provided you a basic foundation of realty knowledge, such as, performed limited realty technical work, carried out instructional assignments and complied with policy, laws and regulations.
OR
1 full academic year of graduate education or law school or superior academic achievement. Applicants who meet the criteria for Superior Academic Achievement qualify for positions at the GS-7level.
Superior Academic Achievement, if applicable
Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) at the baccalaureate level is fully qualifying at the GS-7 level. To claim SAA, submit documentation of one of the following:
1. Class standing -- You must be in the upper third of your graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses.
2. Grade-point average (rounded to one decimal point) of:
1. 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on your official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during thefinal 2 years of your curriculum; or
2. 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in your major field or the required courses in your major field completed during your final 2 years of the curriculum.
3. Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society in one of the national scholastic honor societies listed by the Association of College Honor Societies.
