Duties
As a Supervisory Realty Specialist, you will:
- Serve as the Branch Chief with responsibility of overseeing the work assigned and staff, including distribution and balance of workload, tracking work progress and status, estimation and reporting on work completion, instructing staff in specific tasks and job-related techniques, responding to and assisting with technical issues and problems, and evaluating and reporting on work performance and training needs.
- Manage supervisory and non-supervisory staff, assignments, contracts, and workflow to meet programmatic goals, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Use continuous improvement approaches to increase productivity, work product quality, lower costs, improve delivery times, and improve employee satisfaction/morale.
- Provide innovative solutions to challenges.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
To be qualified for this position at the GS-14 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level. This experience is defined as:
- Leading a team of employees and monitoring their progress towards achieving project goals and objectives; AND
- Developing solutions to organize and deliver realty services for customers and business partners to increase consistency and accountability; AND
- Managing a workload in support of a variety of real estate activities that may include: Property Disposition, Asset Management, Section 8, affordable housing preservation's and property management functions in multi-family housing; AND
- Providing technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders on affordable housing preservation functions in multifamily housing.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
