About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-WNER99 US ARMY CYBER COMMAND.
This position is located at the 1st Information Operations CMD, S-2, Fort Belvoir, VA.
Duties
Administrative manager for the Brigade S2.
Serves as the Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Manager for the Command and the alternate Intelligence Oversight Officer.
Serves as the 1st Information Operations (IO) Command (Land) Deputy BDE S2.
Understands the Intelligence Cycle and how it supports Information Operations while applying intelligence principles to understand the Information Environment.
Requirements
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisissituations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalentlevel) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 25% or less of the time.

Specialized experience is defined as experience developing and implementing an Open Source Intelligence program, AND experience performing administrative duties for a unit, including managing the budget, training, awards, and travel programs.

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
