About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Provides collocated integrated logistics support (ILS) to a Program Manager (PM) for assigned weapon system(s) plans, coordinates, manages, tracks, and executes the entire range of readiness activity in support of assigned programs.
The incumbent establishes procedures, priorities, and schedules; and tasks functional elements to accomplish specific program actions consistent with provided requirements, schedules, and funding.
Analyzes and/or develops logistics documents such as Material Fielding Plans (MFPs), and ILS Plans for the purpose of assuring the sufficiency/adequacy of transition planning and readiness contributions to requirement documents.
Resolves controversial issues by most expeditious means available.
Serves as the principal source of information on logistic matters for the assigned system(s), responsible for keeping the Project Manager and Readiness Functional Directors informed of ILS acquisition status of assigned programs.
Acts as spokesman at briefings for the assigned system(s).
Establishes the scope and extent of the logistic support for both Army and other user services.
Requirements

- Probationary period may be required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience: 1) Plan, develop, review, coordinate, and implement Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) requirements for assigned equipment during the system's logistics life cycle. 2) Execute asset actions of managed systems in Army Information Systems to include the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), the Decision Support Tool (DST), and other Logistics databases. 3) Experience managing major end item weapon systems in sustainment, budgeting processes and different funding appropriations, and tasks required to properly transition and sustain a weapon system.

CECOM is participating in an alternative personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project. The NH-03 pay band is equivalent to the GS-12, Step 01 to GS-13, Step 10; this position, is subject to an internal organization control point at the NH-03 Non-Supervisory Senior Professional control point of the CECOM control point policy and therefore pay may be set up to the GS-13, Step 05 level.
