The position is in the Office of the Clerk of the Court of the District of Columbia Superior Court.   The Administrative Assistant reports to the Clerk of the Court and performs administrative tasks and coordinates communications for the activities within the operations of Superior Court.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D, plus six (6) years of general secretarial or clerical experience. Experience using MS Office products and various software packages such as Acrobat Adobe and e-fax are required. Must be willing to learn new software packages and devise new ways to create organized office structure, filing systems and directories. Experience in a court or legal environment is preferred. Education Substitution: Associates degree plus five (5) years of general secretarial or clerical experience. Bachelors degree plus three (3) years of general secretarial or clerical experience. Masters degree plus two (2) years of general secretarial or clerical experience. Documentation of education (copy of HS diploma, G.E.D, college diploma, transcript, or certificate) must be submitted with your application or your application will not be considered. The incumbent should be an enthusiastic and engaged professional who enjoys working with a diverse group of Court personnel and customers and lives the DC Courts’ values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, and Transparency.
