This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as the Point of Contact (POC) for the Security for the CB Department. Receives, translates and conveys security management requirements and changes to CB personnel. Identifies security concerns and assesses disagreements over security matters, elevating unresolved issues to appropriate CB leadership as necessary.
Duties
As a PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-11/12 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as the CB Department POC for travel and DTS issues, acting as a liaison between the Directorate and Agency-level DTS team and CB travelers.
Serves as travel reviewer, and supports the Approving Officials by reviewing documents in the DTS approval process.
Serves as Records Administrator for the CB Department. Establishes files and a system for maintaining and storing official records in accordance with Federal/DoD/DTRA records management program guidelines.
Serves as Property Custodian and Facilities Coordinator for the CB Department and POC for the CB property accountability system, including information technology (IT) equipment and accounts and office equipment inventory and related records.
Monitors all facilities within the CB Department footprint in the DTRA headquarters building and Edgewood MD office, and works collaboratively with CB leadership and RD front office to address space allocation matters.
Serves as Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) approver for CB personnel, and provides advisory support to the CB tasker/action item management and tracking system.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
Utilizing a Defense Travel System (DTS) program or Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) in order to perform support work assignments related to issues, support of Tier 1 help desk, and related matters;
Establishing files and a system for maintaining and storing official records in accordance with Federal/DoD/Agency records management program guidelines;
Using office automation software, such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), SharePoint, Adobe and familiarity with DoD specific or similar systems such as the Defense Travel System (DTS), Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), and automated tasking systems such as the Task Management Tool (TMT);
Preparing, coordinating and tracking procurement request (PR) packages; Accounting for property and office facilities/IT equipment management;
Ability and to communicate effectively both oral and in writing, interpret information, advise managers, resolve problem areas, conduct meetings/briefings, and interface with effectively with managers and employees.
You may qualify at the GS-11, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service:
Utilizing a Defense Travel System (DTS) program or Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) in order to perform support work assignments related to issues, support of Tier 1 help desk, and related matters;
Following a system for maintaining and storing official records in accordance with Federal/DoD/Agency records management program guidelines;
Assisting with preparing, coordinating and tracking procurement request (PR) packages; Assisting with property accountability and office facilities/IT equipment management;
Effectively communicate both oral and in writing, interpret information, advise managers, resolve problem areas, and interface with effectively with managers and employees.
OR
B. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related
OR
C. You have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than two years of education as described in B. You have computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
