About the Position: Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or detail NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army Employee. Duties

Select and operate a variety of test equipment such as analyzers, oscilloscopes, meters, and other common and specialized test equipment required to perform the assigned duties. Perform repair, overhaul, modification, installation and turn-on and test of complex electronic equipment and complete electronic systems. Check work in progress and when finished, checks for compliance with supervisors' instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines. Advise other employees to follow supervisors' instructions and to meet deadlines. Ensure that needed plans, blueprints, material, and tools are available. Troubleshoot, isolate, and repair operational malfunctions in complex electronic equipment and systems.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. You must successfully complete and pass a NATIONAL AGENCY CHECK WITH WRITTEN INQUIRIES (NACI, Tier 1).
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment and annual physicals.
• Shift work and overtime may be required on short notice to include nights, holidays, and weekends in support of related mission requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is usually performed inside well lighted, adequately heated and ventilated areas. Occasionally works outside in inclement weather and when on TDY assignments. Subject to cuts, bruises, scrapes, sprains, and strains from handling tools and installing equipment. Subject to burns from hot components, RF energy, micro-wave radiation, and electrical shock.
