This position is located in the Office of Airports Division (ARP) and serves as a Service Area Airport Airspace Specialist for an assigned Service Area.
Duties
FV-G Duties: Performs a combination of routine, multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. Acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team for projects/ programs within a defined area of responsibility.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.To qualify at the FV-G level, you must demonstrate in your resume specialized experience equivalent to FV-F, FG/GS-5/7/9.Specialized experience for FV-301-G: Experience collecting and recording data/information; conducting research; identifying problems; and/or assisting higher level professionals in day-to-day operations of an airport operating environment; in following or implementing the procedures for handling airspace matters set forth in FAA Joint Order 7400.2; Title 14 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 77; and/or Title 14 CFR Part 157.To qualify at the FV-H level, you must demonstrate in your resume specialized experience equivalent to FV-G, FG/GS-10/11.Specialized experience for FV-301-H: Experience collecting and analyzing data/information; conducting research; applying policies and procedures; identifying problems; and/or working with higher level and lower level professionals in day-to-day operations of an airport operating environment; in following or implementing the procedures for handling airspace matters set forth in FAA Joint Order 7400.2; Title 14 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 77; Title 14 CFR Part 157; Airport Layout Layout Plans (ALPs); and/or FAA Form 5010 Airport Master Records.To qualify at the FV-I level, you must demonstrate in your resume specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS-12.Specialized experience for FV-301-I: Experience in utilizing computer programs such as the FAA’s Obstruction Evaluation / Airport Airspace Analysis (OE/AAA) and other information to process and analyze airspace cases to promote the safe and efficient use of navigable airspace. Experience tracking and analyzing data to ensure compliance with policies and procedures set forth in FAA Joint Order 7400.2; Title 14 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 77; Title 14 CFR Part 157; Airport Layout Layout Plans (ALPs); and/or 5010 Airport Master Records.Qualification requirements must be met by closing date of this vacancy announcement.This position may be filled at the FV-G, FV-H or FV-I level.
