This position is located in the Facility Management Service Line of the VA Medical Center in Manchester, NH.
The Motor Vehicle Operator operates gasoline, diesel, or electronic powered wheeled vehicles to haul cargo and fuel, transport passengers, and perform snow removal and sanding/salting.
Applicants must have:
A valid current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Passenger (P) Endorsement
Air Brake Endorsement
Qualifications
This position requires a valid, state issued Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with both passenger and air brake endorsement. We cannot accept photographs. Therefore, please do not submit a copy of your license with your application package. If an interview is requested, you will be required to provide your driver's license for verification of required endorsements. ~AND~
The ability to perform the duties of the Motor Vehicle Operator without more than normal supervision.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK CONDITIONS: The employee exerts moderate physical effort in operating, turning, backing, and controlling vehicles which carry heavy loads and many people. Vehicles are operated in all types of traffic and weather conditions on public roads and there is exposure to the danger of serious accidents. The employee drives in heavy traffic and at highway speeds over complicated road and interchange system.
