Duties

Provides Technical Supervision neccessary for accomplishing the work of the division. Performs the full range of administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluation.requirements. Confers and collaborates as an active partner with senior managers of the organization in planning and developing SID quality assurance plans, conducts studies, performs analysis and implements corrective actions. Conducts statistical analyses and studies on inspection and test results to determine quality trends, discrepancies, and control limits for processes and work types. Samples and inspects passports and various secure credentials at each phase of the manufacturing process using sampling inspection and intensive production inspection techniques.

Requirements

  • Selectee may be required to serve a one year Supervisory Probationary period
  • Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
  • Confidential Financial Disclosure report may be required.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist (SPF), PG -1910-14, you must meet the following requirements: At the PG-14:To qualify for the, PG-1910-14, you must meet the following requirements:Incumbent must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the PG-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Experience in supply chain methodologies and processes, both internal to the agency and externally upstream to the supplier base. 2)Identify and develop ways to resolve problems or cope with issues directly affecting accomplishing program's goals and objectives. 3) Communicate effectively to multiple audiences (e.g., staff, customers, and executives) through oral and written presentations. 4) Experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance standards and methods for monitoring manufacturing and production processes to ensure compliance with requirements/specifications for a successful product. AND 5)Experience in current manufacturing and printing plant methodologies, including but not limited to ISO 9000/ ISO 9001 principles, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Quality Process Control. "In addition to meeting the required Specialized Experience above, the applicants will be required to successfully complete and pass a Hurdle Assessment Questionnaire." Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement(09/15/2023) to be considered.
