About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Serve as Logistics Management Specialist (Operations Specialist) in the Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD) for Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
Serve as the Presidential Drawdown Action Officer performing coordination and execution on behalf of the Command.
Serve as the liaison between the SAMD and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports and Cooperation (DASA DEC), the US Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC), and other Army Security Assistance Enterprise (ASAE) stakeholders.
Serve as the liaison between the SAMD and ILSC for Army stock coordination efforts.
Perform logistics support tasks and participates in Division and/or Directorate support activities.
Coordinate and responds to Division and/or Directorate tasks, manages correspondence, and develops SAMD briefings and/or info papers.
Responsible for weekly Directorate reporting requirements (Weekly Activity Reports, Points of Main Effort, OPS Charts, SAMD Highlights)
Interact and coordinate with representatives of internal/external organizations in support of Division and/or Directorate activities and to resolve sensitive or complex FMS logistics issues.
Requirements

- One-year probationary period may be required.
- Secret Security clearance required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for LIFE CYCLE LOGISTICS certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
- This is a Non-Key Security Cooperation (SC) position based on the duties and responsibilities. The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification.
- The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position's SCW certification level: 3 years (Intermediate)

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience: Analyze and interpret logistics readiness information, develop trend lines, and forecast future potential problems. Utilize logistics planning system for supply and operations to organize, analyze, and track material readiness problems and their corrective action plans. Gather, analyze, organize, present data and supporting analyses to prepare command level reports and briefings.
This position has a control point of a GS-13 step 5 $126,949.
