Under the supervision of the Capacity Building Division Chief, the Management and Program Analyst provides leadership and guidance on strategic planning, data analysis, sound resource allocation, and continuous improvement to ensure NHTSA’s behavioral safety research and program development activities meet the needs of stakeholders.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include:
Experience supporting and participating in a community of practice to assist practitioners with reducing traffic safety.
Experience developing and disseminating educational resources and other promotional materials (e.g. technical reports, brochures, website content, and other materials)
To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include:
Experience leading, supporting, and participating in a community of practice to assist local communities with reducing traffic fatalities through the adoption and implementation.
Experience compiling, analyzing, and evaluating a variety of resource data in order to prepare reports, charts/graphs, status updates, or analysis in support of organizational goals and objectives, and development of operating instructions.
Experience managing and leading multiple highly visible projects and priorities simultaneously.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Demonstrated ability to effectively gather, analyze, synthesize, and communicate (visually, in writing, and orally) data and other information related to public health and/or traffic safety.
Demonstrated ability to develop and disseminate educational resources, facilitate training, and deliver technical assistance to advance public health and/or traffic safety activities as well as diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
Demonstrated ability to set strategic goals, measure progress, problem-solve creatively, and assess impact.
Demonstrated ability to establish, develop, and maintain productive relationships with individuals at various levels in the public and private sector.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment that may require shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
