This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT/TRAINING DIVISION. As a OPERATIONS SECURITY SPECIALIST (OPERATIONS SECURITY PROGRAM MANAGER), you will develop long-range program plans, goals, objectives and milestones to evaluate the effectiveness of the OPSEC program throughout the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The position is responsible for coordinating the planning and development of the OPSEC Program policies, procedures, and overall program goals.
Duties
As a OPERATIONS SECURITY SPECIALIST (OPERATIONS SECURITY PROGRAM MANAGER), you will:
Develop and implement BEP-wide policies, standards and procedures for administration and management of nationwide programs including guidance on the proper handling, protection, and release of sensitive and critical information to U.S. Government and State and Local officials.
Chair/participate in BEP working groups convened to elicit participation across Treasury components and across government in the formulation and execution of viable and uniform policies, standards, operating procedures and plans for the protection of classified, controlled unclassified information, sensitive but unclassified, and other sensitive and critical information.
Serve as the BEP representative for Inter and Intra-agency working groups, councils, committees, and other governmental and industrial associations, focusing on nationwide standards and policies for protecting critical information and minimizing risk.
Evaluate Contract Security Classification Specification (DD Form 254), statements of work, solicitations for offers, and other contract related documents to ensure appropriate OPSEC considerations are incorporated.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Independently applying security policies, procedures, theories and principles to an Operations Security (OPSEC) program; AND
- Establishing and maintaining partnerships and communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding an OPSEC program; AND
- Preparing and presenting detailed oral briefings to all levels of leadership.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
