You will serve as a Paralegal Specialist of RLSO NDW WASHINGTON DC.
Duties
You will Interview victims and witnesses to obtain and verify information and prepare for trial.
You will analyze and evaluate case files against case litigation worthiness standards.
You will prepare forms, standard legal documents and routine correspondence.
You will conduct investigation and information gathering to determine pertinent facts.
You will make continuous updates as well as making sure crucial documents are uploaded into the system.
Requirements

Qualifications
GS-9:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following
1) Preparing assigned criminal cases in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations;
2) Preparing and reviewing legal pleadings and case summaries, accompanying attorneys during hearings and litigation to assist in the organization of testimony, presentation of evidence, and required research;
3) Interviewing victims and witnesses to obtain and verify information and prepare for trial.
GS-7:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following
1) Onboarding of new employees, scheduling/maintaining appointment calendars for attorneys, verification of data-entry into case management system, and overseeing the general training program for paralegals and legal support staff;
2) Preparing standard legal documents and routine correspondence, and
3) Maintaining reference library of substantive motions, briefs, directives, publications and instructions.

Education
Education Substitution for Experience at the GS-09 Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
OR possess a master's or equivalent degree
OR have completed two full years of graduate level education leading to such a degree
OR possess an LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR a combination of education and experience as described above that equates to one year of experience
