About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Cyber Center of Excellence, Fort Gordon, GA.
Duties
Recommend engagement strategies to General/Flag Officers and/or executive level personnel and provide courses of action in support of command priorities and effectively articulate strategies before a wide range of civilian and military audiences.
Coordinate commander?s planning group engagement and interagency planning in support of General/Flag Officers and executive level personnel with an emphasis on community outreach and Congressional contacts.
Interact with senior military, diplomatic and interagency personnel from both U.S. and foreign governments fostering information sharing and strengthen CCOE initiatives/activities.
Conduct thorough analysis of General/flag Officer and executive level requests and/or requirements and organize/lead planning teams using a proven planning methodology, manage/archive all artifacts produced using sound knowledge management skills.
Prepare well-written briefing materials, speeches, talking points with input from subject matter experts culling information from various authorized sources.
Present complex analytical information effectively before a wide range of military and civilian audiences using material provided by subject matter experts and authorized information sources.
Advise General/Flag Officers and/or executive level personnel on time management matters and provide courses of action in support of command priorities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Must pass urinalysis testing prior to the appointment, reassignment or transfer, and periodically thereafter, per the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by serving as an analyst and consultant for emerging doctrine, organizational design and force structure and management; assisting in the development of strategic long-range planning; preparing and executing of senior/command level reports, briefings, slides and/or materials.
