This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB & MRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Employees work a 4/10 work week, Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and daily child care available. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center, (Mass transportation is available at minimal cost.) Surrounding area boasts a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities.
Duties
Directing, developing or performing logistics management operations that involve planning, costing, coordinating, or evaluating actions required to support a specific program.
Provides advice on the development, testing and roll out decisions to depot personnel with input from independent contractors, higher headquarters and Army guidance.
Develops supporting data and provides comprehensive logistics planning information, logistic plans, recommendations, alternatives and impact statement.
Makes formal presentations concerning Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) aspects to review conferences.
Exercises LMP MPS responsibility for formulation, development, preparation, presentation, and administration within the LMP ERP. Works within all SIAD Directorates for the accuracy of data, program set-up and implementation.
Provides guidance to upper-management in the negotiations, acceptance, feasibility, and project development of unplanned long term projects.
Evaluates, monitors, and ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; makes improvements, solves problems and takes corrective action when implementation problems arise.
Recommends adjustment to budget and logistics plans to accommodate for unforeseen developments.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty Travel, TDY may be required up to 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Directing, developing, and/or managing a logistics operation; planning a logistics operation (e.g. planning, coordinating, evaluating); and advise managers on upcoming logistics projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business administration, industrial management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
