Duties
You will serve as a SUPV IT Specialist (INFOSEC/DATAMGT) in the Current Operations Division (OPS1), Operations Department (OPS) at Naval Network Warfare Command.
You will exercise technical and administrative supervisory authority Deputy Current Operations Division Officer over division personnel.
You will be responsible for sound personnel/position management, performance evaluations, approving and disapproving lease, establishing work plans as the Deputy Current Operations Office.
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees while providing technical oversight.
You will be responsible for developing and review recruiting, hiring and retention procedures in accordance with Human Resource (HR) policies.
You will initiate personal actions for promotions, awards, training and all other administrative actions.
You will promote knowledge sharing between information owners/users through an organization?s operational processes and systems.
You will apply technical knowledge of Navy networks and C4I architecture to implement processes, technologies, and policies to improve IT and Communication services throughout the Department of Defense Information Network-Navy (DoDIN-N).
You will routinely apply advanced information technology knowledge, experience, and skills within the assigned area in order to identify and/or develop required enterprise management products to transform DoDIN processes and programs.
You will identify opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems that support business processes and implement solutions.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 751 within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of experience demonstrating this competency include: Using broad knowledge of cybersecurity principles and organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentications and non-repudiation).
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Experience demonstrating this competency include: Regularly collaborating with subordinate commands to ensure standardization and implementation of IT and communication technologies and systems.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Examples of experience demonstrating this competency include: Establishing and maintaining communication channels with stakeholders.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Examples of experience demonstrating this competency include: Performing on-site and remote diagnostic and troubleshooting on systems, data communications equipment, and software related to network and system security activity.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have qualifying experience such as:
-Experience applying information technology and operational management techniques and tools to analyze, evaluate and document existing processes, process performance and identifying areas of success and targeting areas of operational improvement.
-Experience both managing and working with network architectures, including networks such as NMCI, ONE-NET, IT-21, legacy networks or similar networks.
-Experience implementing and integrating Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
-Experience supervising, managing and assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments and the capabilities of employees while providing technical and operational oversight.
