This position serves as a Program Support Assistant (QA) located in the Connected Care Service located at the Department of Veterans Affairs Central California Healthcare System in Fresno, California (VACCHCS). The primary purpose of the position is to provides clerical support for My HealtheVet Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) sponsored website for Veterans, their families, advocates, and VA employees.
Duties
Major Duties:
Serves as a point of contact for Connected Care service, Veterans and the Caregivers, VACCHCS PACT staff, and VISN staff.
Provides consistent and updated training to Veterans, Veteran caregivers and supporters, and clinical users for My HealtheVet.
Assists to enroll Veterans in Connected Care programs including authentication and credential management.
Screens calls and forwarding to appropriate areas within Connected Care and VACCHCS.
Assists with implementation of proposals or projects as directed
Utilizes software applications to provide information from a wide variety of sources to prepare reports.
Assists in collecting, compiling, and tracking statistical information in support of program operations, and to access status or outcomes in relation to established performance measures, goals, and objectives.
Implements nationally and VISN standardized protocols for incoming data, organizes and maintains patient data, and retrieves a variety of computerized data.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Qualifications

You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: experience where you were responsible for providing administrative support; collecting, compiling and tracking data and information; processing documents and reports; establishing, updating and maintaining office files and records; performing automation duties using such software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, database and/or graphics; answering telephones, referring visitors, and providing information. NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week.. OR,
Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have successfully completed 4 years above high school. OR,
Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education 2 years above high school.

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers or books, etc. Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office. May require occasional travel.
