About the Position: Serve as Administrative Officer/Executive Officer (XO), ensure efficient administrative operations for the Directorate, (J6) and the subordinate staff to the Command Group, independently established policy and regulatory guidance, the XO provide direction, assistance, support to, and oversight of the SCJ6's administrative operations and initiatives.. Located in the Headquarters, U.S. Southern Command Communication Systems Directorate, and (J6) Office of the Director.

Duties

Provide direction, assistance, support to SCJ6?s administrative operations and Initiatives. Establish policy and regulatory guidance to SCJ?s administrative operations and Initiatives. Maintain Liaison with all necessary points of contact and support staff from several Commands. Provide guidance on different administrative functions. Disseminate administrative polices and regulations and supplements them with Communication Systems Directorate. Maintain and control all assigned official tasking from both internal and external sources to the primary offices of primary responsibility with the directorate. Ensure effective and efficient administration of all activities within the Communication Systems Directorate. Ensure read-ahead information is provided to Director and Deputy Director to facilitate effective use of the meeting time.

Requirements

  • Requires the ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
  • Requires travel 15% TDY.
  • May require a 1-year probationary period if not previous completed.
