Duties

USSF is seeking a civilian engineering professional to lead modeling and simulation (M&S) for war-winning capabilities on behalf of the United States Space Force for Space C2, Missile Warning (MW), and Missile Defense. The Strategic Warning & Surveillance Systems Acquisition Delta (SSC/SZQ) manages multiple Ground-Based Radars (GBRs) and C2 systems. This position requires multidisciplinary professional engineering work involving the application of astrodynamics/orbital mechanics, aerospace, track/threat/scenario modeling, and testing to produce threat simulations and scenarios for validation and verification of MW and space systems. You will research, interpret, analyze, and apply scenario certification and test regulations provided by higher headquarters. This opportunity puts you in control to plan, organize, coordinate, and lead scenario development working groups with external organizations. Utilize your knowledge of missile characteristics and experience in performing missile analysis and developing scenarios.

• Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance for the position.
• Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall. May be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations.
• A professional engineering degree at the bachelor?s level from an ABET accredited institution in (specific discipline of position) or a closely related field is required.
• This position is eligible for situational telework, 2-4 days per pay period.
• PCS and incentive not available.
