About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. Duties

Review program operating goals and develops budget expenditures. Perform analyses using budgeting developed data queries, accounting automated system applications and manual processes. Analyze the revenue and expenditure of various organizations. Brief management and higher headquarters on budget issues and trends. Ensure that statements and records comply with laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must obtain and maintain Financial Management Certificate Level 2 within 24 months in the position.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement up to 5% of the time.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) reviewing budget proposals or funding requests; 2) reviewing cost benefit analysis worksheets to ensure accuracy; 3) providing training on budgetary functions, and 4) preparing budget reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with laws and other regulations.
