Duties
As a Supervisory Nuclear Logistics Stockpile Spec at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as the Nuclear Enterprise Directorate, Nuclear Logistics Operations Stockpile (NE-NLOS) Branch Chief and Project Manager for development and production management information Defense Stockpile Management System (DSMS) including DIAMONDS, the DIAMONDS Energy xChange portal, Nuclear Management Information System (NUMIS), Joint Application Development (JADE), Nuclear Inventory Management and Cataloging System (NIMACS), and DIAMONDS Accountability Training System (DATS). Directs and reviews teams located in DTRA Washington, Albuquerque and contractor personnel involved with planning and executing these programs.
Serves as the DoD authority on nuclear weapons stockpile reporting.
Serves as JS and OASD (NCB/NM) subject matter expert on nuclear weapons accounting policies and procedures.
Formulates program goals, plans, policies, procedures, work plans, and human capital management necessary for the software application to enable DTRA to execute two major missions.
Serves as a nuclear stockpile action officer, requiring extensive contact where the incumbent speaks with authority as the designated primary technical advisor and subject matter expert on all nuclear weapon reporting requirements.
Provides direction, guidance, advice, counsel, recommendations, and solutions to officials from DOE/NNSA, The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs/Nuclear Matters (OASD (NCB/NM)), Joint Staff (JS), Combatant Command, and Service Headquarters.
Performs and manages day-to-day tasks supporting the nation's primary database systems for tracking the nuclear weapons stockpile.

- Overtime: 10%

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Experience in nuclear operations and the reporting requirements used to establish nuclear weapons accountability;
Experience in leading teams of developers in taking user generated requirements gathered through business process reviews and joint application design meetings to develop custom software; and
Assessing project plans and establishing goals to align and integrate them into the overall program plan.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
