About the Position: Serve as a Supervisory Base Realignment and Closure Analyst and Senior Staff Technical Advisor in the Headquarters Department of the Army, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9 (ODCS, G-9), Installations Services Directorate, Army Environmental Division with responsibility for the review, inspection, planning, and development of solutions to the range of program related actions and issues pertaining to base realignment and closure.

Duties

Serve as the Army focal point for assigned base realignment, closure, and real property disposal actions, including program approvals, laws, statements, and pertinent data and information formally required and/or requested by others. Determine and formulate Army positions and explanations of issues and planned solutions. Present formal briefings, and attend meetings within and outside of DA on behalf of the Base Realignment and Closure Branch. Conduct periodic reviews of installation activities, including site visits, to monitor implementation of base realignment and closure, real property disposal, and environmental / munitions regulatory actions. Investigate allegations/findings by various Army Audit and IG reports that involve complex and sensitive issues pertaining to realignment, closure, and real property disposals. Supervise numerous employees thru GS-14, in terms of accomplishment of objectives and general soundness of programs. Establish performance standards for subordinates, ensure employees assigned complete all requirements, are informed of the process involved to be successful in annual performance ratings.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary duty travel up to 25%
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for duration of employment.
  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
