The position is located in the Bureau of Overseas Building Operations, Construction, Facility, and Security Management Directorate, Office of Security Management, Security Operations Division (OBO/CFSM/SM/SSO). OBO’s mission is to provide safe, secure, functional, and resilient facilities that represent the U.S. government to the host nation and support the Department of State (DOS) achievement of U.S. foreign policy objectives abroad.
Duties
Serves as a Security Specialist (Project Integrator) and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the physical, technical, and procedural aspects of security improvement projects for OBO within an assigned geographical region.
Oversees all regionally related activities to include plans, budgets, and operational programs and the development of policies, procedures, and standards.
Provide advice, built on industry best practices and advances in security techniques, to OBO and DOS senior management regarding new developments.
Oversees the implementation and performance of construction security policy and procedures.
Works collaboratively to formulate and execute related worldwide strategies, policies, and process to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of OBO/CFSM/SM/SSO’s security-enhancing operations.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience analyzing trends, current developments, and regulatory issues in the physical, technical, procedural, and construction security fields.
Experience directing financial management of security programs exceeding $500 million.
Experience managing overseas construction security programs.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
