About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located in the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Support Activity Army G2X, assigned to Headquarters, Department of the Army.
Duties
Serve as the Executive Staff Analyst supporting the Civilian Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence (ADCS, G-2), Headquarters, Department of the Army.
Liaise with senior officials across organizational boundaries to execute the solution of policy formulation, program development, and administrative management issues.
Manage the office administrative operations within a broad framework of established policy and regulatory guidance.
Manage Executive's schedule and workload, prepare documents, presentations and talking points in advance, acts as gatekeeper, follows up on meetings, facilitating smooth operations of the organization.
Manage responsibilities for the total day-to-day administrative management ADCS, G-2 office.
Schedule appointments, drafts, proofread, and/or prepare correspondence for signature, coordinate travel/conferences, develop itineraries, prepare meeting minutes, and the develop or coordinate formal briefing materials.
Maintain a personal and confidential relationship with senior management.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 20% or less of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
