This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Facilities to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, Alabama just off interstate 20. The depot is the largest Employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.
Duties
Analyzes repair parts usage, utilizing feedback from first-line supervisors and on-hand inventory reviews to manage stockage level of repair parts for assigned FSCs.
Validate Purchase Requests.
Reviews retention and other special inventory categories to promote the most economical use of parts on hand.
Assists maintenance MRP Planner/Buyer and/or Pre-Production Planner in making necessary adjustments to Depot Overhaul Factors (DOFs) and other requisitioning controls to eliminate excess inventory.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) at least 25% or more.

GS-07 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes initiating purchase requests for supplies, parts, materials, services, and equipment to implement parts management program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
