You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the FRCMA A/C DEPT, COMPLIANCE DIVISION of FRC SE DET MIDLANT OCEANA.
Duties
You will begin participates in environmental investigations, inspections and surveys for the purpose maintaining facility compliance with a variety of environmental rules and regulations.
You will ensure State and Federal regulations are complied with and to prepare reports and documents related to environmental protection
and enhancement.
You will provide expert staff advisory, consulting and reviewing services to all activities within the FRC field activities for environmental questions related to
environmental regulations cleanup and prevention.
You will provide industrial/support processes associated with aircraft maintenance operations.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Coordinating, conducting, and/or participating in environmental investigations, inspections and surveys, for the purpose of maintaining facility compliance with environmental rules and regulations. Ensuring compliance with the Clean Water Act and Air Quality program requirements. Providing oversight, management and approval of hazardous material to be used in shops and for aircraft maintenance. Providing support and proper oversight to ensure proper management of solid waste, hazardous waste, controlled industrial waste, non-regulated and regulated waste.
