You will serve as a MARINE TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST in the Office of the Chief of Staff (N02), TRANSCOM DET (N02TD) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
Duties
You will facilitate the timely flow of current and accurate information on MSC capabilities.
You will develop and implement procedures to keep global staffs advised of ship readiness data.
You will develop point papers, white papers and information papers.
You will deliver daily OPS brief and other briefings to inform on the current MSC vision, mission, pillars and strategic themes and guiding principles.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .
Experience developing new and innovative approaches to meeting complex sealift requirements.
Experience analyzing and evaluating ship and operational data to identify problem areas or trends, recommending corrective action and/or remedial action as appropriate.
Experience in Defense Transportation System (DTS) organization, mission and operations.
Experience in merchant ship and naval auxiliary construction, capabilities and procedures.
Experience in the maritime shipping industry, including government laws, regulations and policies affecting the ocean transportation of military material equipment and supplies.
