About the Position: This position is an Army Sustainment Command position located in Jacksonville, FL.
This position is being filled on a permanent basis.

Duties
Advise on entitlement or procedures related to temporary storage of goods, weight allowances,
prohibited items and shipment of unaccompanied baggage, privately owned vehicles and
household goods.
Prepare cost estimates, maintain records of lot storage, weight allowances to assist customer
in determining the best method of movement.
Answer telephonic, in-person and written inquires on matters pertaining valuable to shipment of
personal property within the continental United States and overseas.
Determine carriers and arrange for the pickup, delivery and storage of personal property.
Compose and type in draft form, correspondence, messages and memorandums relating to
shipment of property.
Prepare and process a variety of forms relating to the shipment, receipt and storage of
personal property.
Requirements
- This position requires a qualified typist.
- Performance of duties may require up to 10% of time in travel status.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience GS-06:To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: assist in providing information to military/civilian personnel regarding receipt of personal property; review documents such as assist in providing information to military/civilian personnel regarding receipt of personal property; review documents such as applications/orders for accuracy; clearing inbound shipments for disposition; screens orders for correct appropriation/authorization for shipment; providing for expedient delivery of personal property to customers; verifying charges associated with the handling/delivery of inbound shipments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Selective Placement Factor: This position requires you to be a qualified typist, typing at least 40 words per minute (wpm) with three (3) or fewer errors based on a five (5) minute sample.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-5).
