You will serve as a IT Specialist (CUSTSPT) in the Command Information Office (CIO) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS.

Duties
You will serve as an IT and Telecommunications Customer Support Specialist, resolving end user requirements associated with voice, data, video, network services, and telecommunications media associated with current and emerging technologies.
You will diagnose and resolves complex problems in response to end user reported request.
You will develop and manage customer service performance requirements.
You will provide support in a manner that minimizes interruptions with the end users ability to carry out critical business activities.
You will provide technical assistance, guidance and solutions for development, installation, usage and sustainment of all current and emerging technologies/telecommunication products and services.
Requirements

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
- You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 2210 level 12 within 12 months of appointment.
- This position is a local remote approved position. Selectee must be located within the commute area of the command upon entry to duty.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Resolving end user requirements associated with voice, data, video, network services, and telecommunications media associated with current and emerging technologies.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Responds to telephone calls and e-mail requests for technical support; identifies researches, and resolves customer technical problems.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Arranges/provides end-user training for all IT components for all applicable IT systems.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provides technical oversight and identifies deficiencies and recommends, provides, and/or arranges for training.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical assistance, guidance and solutions for development, installation, usage and sustainment of all current and emerging technologies/telecommunication products and services.
