This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers.
Duties
Serve as the primary recruitment advisor for the depot.
Develop and participate in long range human resources strategic planning and long-range sustainment or major programmatic changes.
Provide or obtain a variety of management services essential to the direction and efficient operation of the organization.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advising management on financial, personnel, and manpower needs; Applying evaluative methods to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of recruitment strategies; AND implementing new or modified automated work methods that support administrative operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
