You will serve as the a Deputy Program Manager/Assistant Admin Officer for Naval Legal Service Command (NLSC) Headquarters, located in Washington DC, supporting the NLSC Commander (an Admiral) and his headquarters staff. You will also serve as NLSC Admin Officer Program Manager for both NLSC Headquarters and for NLSC's 12 subordinate commands as they deliver decisive legal solutions to the Fleet, Sailors, and their families around the world.
Duties
You will serve as the Assistant Administrative Officer and Deputy to the GS-14 Program Manager with responsibility for the continued operation of all administrative functions on a senior level Navy staff.
You will perform administrative tasks, providing technical and managerial direction on administrative functions, and formulating administrative policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for controlling actions and projects and for resolving a variety of problems related to the assignment, preparation, and administrative processing of assigned actions.
You will maintain liaison with the JAG Consolidated Administrative Business (JCAB) office and command leadership to identify areas of process improvement and provides expert advice and guidance on the most challenging command administration issues.
You will assist NLSC Commands during prolonged Admin Officer vacancies related to turnover and hiring of a new admin officers.
You will ensure Administrative staff is trained and adhering to policies and has access to tools and equipment necessary for effective and efficient service.
You will oversee the NLSC-wide Administrative Officer Program, develop training and serve as a resource for command administrative officers, ensuring compliance with military/management programs, and conducting admin assist visits upon request.

Qualifications
GS-13:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following;
Planning and managing a comprehensive administrative support program that includes the spectrum of administrative support services including; budget, administration, personnel, space management, purchasing, information technology management, internal controls, mail, records, communication services and supplies in support of organization
Providing technical and managerial direction, advice, and support on administrative processes to include management of operations, organizational structure development, resources, military programs, and official correspondence for the front office.
Formulating and recommending administrative policies, procedures, and regulations; coordinating formulation with the administrative and technical staffs to determine and evaluate needs;
Advising and assisting organization in the interpretation and explanation of laws, regulations, orders, and decisions governing assigned responsibilities.
Developing and conducting administrative officer training and refreshers.
GS-12:
