Position Title: Campaign Specialist
This is a Virtual JDA until the re-opening of offices.
Series: Requested: 0343
This position is based in Washington, D.C. but may be conducted remotely.
Duties
This position will support the nationwide "If You See Something, Say Something?" Campaign within the U.S. The "If You See Something, Say Something?" Campaign is designed to raise public awareness of the indicators of terrorism and terrorism-related crime, and the importance of reporting suspicious activity to state and local law enforcement. The campaign develops informational materials for the general public and its campaign partners, conducts paid advertising, and conducts general outreach across the country. The campaign builds and maintains strong partnerships with stakeholders across the private sector industry, law enforcement, academic community, and state, local, tribal, and territorial governments. This position will report directly to the campaign manager and will be responsible for helping execute the campaign's strategies, maintain relationships with campaign partners, and administer the overall program. The candidate will: ? Coordinate requests from campaign partners and other stakeholders. These includes design requests, speaking requests, training resources, and informational materials. ? Ensure all campaign materials have consistent messaging and adhere to the campaign's licensing and trademark agreements. ? Maintain thorough records of campaign activity and engagement with stakeholders. ? Identify new outreach tactics and creative products to meet the needs of the program and/or stakeholders ? Identify methods to measure and evaluate campaign effectiveness ? Represent the campaign on interagency meetings and working groups related to public outreach and terrorism threat prevention ? Manage projects designed to improve stakeholder engagement and experience. ? Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders across the federal government, state/local/tribal/territorial governments, law enforcement, private sector industries, academic institutions, non-profit associations, and other stakeholder groups. ? Be willing to travel to meet with stakeholders or conduct campaign outreach at events. ? Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a current permanent Federal employee
- Must have supervisory approval to apply to the Joint Duty Assignment. DHS 250-2 Application Form under "required documents" section.
- Must NOT have any pending/outstanding disciplinary actions
- Must have achieved a minimum of "meet expectations/proficiency" on latest performance appraisal/evaluation
- Must be currently at the grade level of the detail. *No Temporary Promotion Opportunity*
- The program does not apply to members of the Military service or contractors.

Qualifications required:

Stakeholder engagement / customer relations
A interest in homeland security and terrorism prevention
Providing verbal presentations to a variety of internal and external groups
Writing and editing a variety of materials for a range of audiences
Research, data, and analytical techniques
Be well-organized and be able to multi-task on a variety of projects.
