The ideal candidate should have:
Experience in managing the day-to-day business of a Branch (task management, civilian, contractor, and military personnel actions, etc).
Experience in managing, publishing and sustaining Air Force technical orders in compliance with military standards.
An understanding of DoD funded acquisitions programs and nuclear certification processes.
Clear ability to communicate both up, down and across the chain of command on program status, requirements, problems/analysis/solutions and promoting program objectives.
Knowledge of systems involved with air delivered nuclear weapons (munitions, storage vaults, dual capable fighter aircraft, bomber aircraft, test equipment, support equipment, etc).
DUTIES:
Provide solid technical expertise and supervisory leadership for the Technical Orders Branch to manage 89 technical publications.
Manage the Common Nuclear Weapon Center Centralized Asset Management account and one technical editor service contract.
Develop and justify requirements, implement procedures, and track results on all aspects of the nuclear weapons technical orders using the Comprehensive Air Force Technical Order Plan and the Sustainment Planning, Execution, & Reporting System.
Ensure all air delivered nuclear technical orders are in compliance with military standards and directives.

- Telework may be authorized.

- This position requires a Top-Secret clearance. Selectee should be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
- Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

- In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
- Bachelor?s degree from an accredited institution is highly desired.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft. Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 30 days per year.
