About the Position: As an Accounting Technician with the Directorate of Finance Payments Travel Division Travel Payments Branch you will perform a variety of accounting oriented technical support through the analysis and evaluation of civil and military accounting data.

Duties

Reconcile outstanding transactions to general ledger accounts. Implement accounting procedures to process difficult accounting transactions using an automated system or non-automated system. Demonstrate exceptional customer service with both internal and external customers. Implement policies related to appropriation process for the organization. Reconcile general accounts that are affected by a number of appropriations and allotments.

• This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Financial Management Certification Level I within 24 months of entrance on duty date.

OR B) I have completed one full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as accounting, auditing etc. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.
