The Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences Service (MH&BSS) at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System is dedicated to providing healthcare in an environment that is patient-centric, integrated across the continuum of care, and promotes excellence in quality and patient safety.
Duties
Major Duties:
Will collect, organize, and prepare reports of clinic programs
Serves as an active member of the MH&BSS Performance Improvement Committee
Serves as the ADPAC and back-up to the Primary Care Management Module (PCMM)
Conducts studies, designs databases, monitors reports and analyzes workload data
Maintains MH&BSS SharePoint
Provides technical assistance to staff members
Monitors and studies the progress of extensive projects with different schedules
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/06/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: collect, organize, prepare and monitor reports; collect and analyze data; conduct studies; design databases; audit data and perform validation studies; write policies, procedures and statistics; provide technical assistance to staff members; assist with policy-making decisions; monitor projects; trends and reports problem areas and makes recommendations for solutions.

Physical Requirements: Physical demands involve frequent walking, bending, sitting, etc., although the position requires the ability to move from one geographic location of the facility to another. The incumbent works with a computer screen and keyboard. The work will involve some physical moving of computer equipment and carry and storing some IT equipment.
