Duties
You will perform analysis of operational plans, network/cloud capabilities and provide operationally effective, resource-conscious recommendations to support critical mission needs and mission resiliency.
You will develop solutions and/or recommend resolutions to customer and/or cloud capability issues.
You will review technical data and specifications.
You will conduct cloud solution analysis and produce technical papers, briefs, and recommendations.
You will provide support for network transport technologies including, but not limited to: Cloud, BAN/LAN/WAN, VLAN, DMZ, Cisco IOS, QOS, NAT, IPv4, IPv6.
You will participate in design activities, routing assessments, and capacity testing.
You will develop tests and experiments to support cloud performance testing and analysis.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-05 pay band or GS-12/13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing expert technical direction and team leadership of engineers, technicians, IT professionals, and business support; 2) Experience with various technologies and emerging IT trends, including leading tool automation platforms, data center/cloud platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS)), networking, storage, and identity management capabilities; 3) Providing full range of combined technical and administrative direction to subordinates and other professionals; 4) Experience with Cloud performance testing including test procedure development, execution, instrumentation and automation; and 5) Experience with Cloud Management/Performance Management and Cloud monitoring hardware and software tools.
