About the Position: Serves as a Staff Action Control Specialist for the U.S. Army Center of Military History, Museums Directorate and supports the Army Museum Enterprise. Duties include analysis on operational and administrative duties, collaborating with the Operations Officer and AME Operational staff at the Regional and Division level. Ensures requirements, objectives, and goals projects, and programs are in line with internal office priorities and actions.
Duties
Conduct a variety of analysis on operational and administrative duties and prepare recommendations to policies and procedures, as necessary.
Monitor suspense and administrative actions and maintain an accurate Staff Action Memorandums (SAM) tracker.
Compile narrative and statistical material to prepare reports for higher headquarters concerning the status of actions.
Serve as the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Billing Official for all Directorate purchases.
Establish and maintain files for items such as Staff Action Memorandums, Defense Travel Card System (DTS), and General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBs).

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing automated systems to track suspense's or administrative actions; maintaining files or records management systems; applying analytical techniques and evaluative methods to plan and/or coordinate completion of administrative taskers for an organization; and preparing clear and concise reference material such as memoranda, briefings, or executive summaries. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business or Public Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
